Phil Martin has extensive experience in litigation including trials and appeals of employment, real estate, contract and construction defect cases. His principal area of practice is employment law where he assists the client in evaluating and prosecuting claims of unlawful discharge, discrimination, breach of contract in compensation matters and sexual harassment. He has significant experience in analyzing and evaluating investigations into employment complaints and their documentation.

From 1998 until 2005, Phil was in private, sole practice in San Francisco, California. From 1996 until 1998 he was an associate at Newton, Kastner & Remmel. He was an attorney with the U. S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation during 1994-1996; a partner at Zankel & McGrane, P.C. 1990-1994; a partner at Shiver, McGrane & Martin, 1986-1990; and a partner, McGrane & Martin, 1982-1986. From 1979 until 1982, Phil was an associate at Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe,; he was an associate, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, 1974-1979. Phil’s first job as a lawyer was as a Lieutenant, U.S. Navy Reserve, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, from 1970 until 1974.
